Are you looking for a position that each day can see you doing something different? The Veterinary Hospitals Associations Business Services is looking to expand and has an immediate opening for an experienced accounting paraprofessional to join our team as a part-time or full-time veterinary hospital bookkeeper. This individual will manage the weekly accounting needs of 7-14 veterinary hospitals in and around the metro area as their dedicated bookkeeper and payroll specialist. As a veterinary hospital bookkeeper, your duties will be to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, recruiting, payroll, and accounting practices with the highest level of customer service and care.

Training in our veterinary chart of accounts as well as industry-specific service and pharmaceutical product classifications will be provided, as well as ongoing training, support, and oversight.

This position does require local travel, most accounts will be managed remotely from the VHA office, however, some clients will require onsite management.

Veterinary Hospitals Association is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, experienced Warehouse associate to join our team. We store and distribute veterinary supplies; we need a candidate that can work in a high-functioning warehouse.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Duties:

  • Receive and stock incoming freight, pick and pack orders for delivery.
  • Maintain and support quality service by following standards and procedures.
  • Accurately pick items from storage bins in accordance with pick list.
  • To ensure successful delivery, pack items safely in boxes, to avoid damage, breakage, or loss of items, and in accordance with any temperature or other safety requirements for volatile products.
  • Accurately invoice in computer all products being shipped and all products on backorder for later shipping to ensure accurate billing.
  • Place orders in deliver pick-up area for current and next-day deliveries, organized by delivery routes.

Job Specifications:

  • Able to multi-task or work on several warehousing activities simultaneously.
  • Able to learn and become skilled at receiving, warehouse and material handling operations, methods and practices.
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact and build effective, cooperative working relationships with (a) all employees and (b) the warehouse team in performing overlapping responsibilities in a close working environment.
  • Able to perform effective customer service with delivery vendors.
  • Able to write legibly and accurately.
  • Excellent memory skills to acquire familiarity with hundreds of products in order to memorize product storage, packing requirements, and standard/special order merchandise.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, make routine decisions, and solve routine problems effectively.

Your role will be critical in helping ensure multiple areas of administrative duties to assist our team provide the highest level of customer service and integrity we strive for. We will train you in how to use our veterinary chart of accounts and support you fully as you learn this industry.
